Levi Strauss & Co. announced a partnership with Microsoft to build an AI super‑agent platform that will be embedded in Microsoft Teams and powered by Azure. The platform will aggregate multiple sub‑agents to route employee requests to IT, HR, and operations in real time, aiming to cut repetitive task time and boost productivity across corporate, retail, and warehouse environments.

The super‑agent is part of Levi’s broader digital transformation and DTC‑first strategy. By automating routine processes, Levi seeks to free up resources for customer‑centric initiatives and support its goal of becoming a denim lifestyle retailer that delivers connected experiences.

Levi has already introduced AI tools such as Outfitting, a computer‑vision styling assistant launched in 2024 that recommends outfits to shoppers, and STITCH, an AI assistant for store associates that debuted in 2023 and is available in select markets. These tools demonstrate Levi’s commitment to AI and provide a foundation for the new super‑agent.

Microsoft’s role extends beyond providing Azure infrastructure. The partnership includes shared best practices in AI governance, data strategy, and employee training. Levi plans to roll out the super‑agent in early 2026, with pilot sub‑agents for IT and HR already in use and additional sub‑agents for operations and supply chain under development.

Levi’s Q3 2025 earnings, released earlier this month, showed an EPS of $0.34 versus consensus of $0.30, a beat of $0.04, and revenue of $1.54 billion versus $1.50 billion, a $0.04 billion beat. Management cited strong demand and disciplined cost control as drivers of the upside. The company raised its full‑year revenue guidance to 6% growth and EPS guidance to $1.27–$1.32, reflecting confidence in continued demand and the impact of new AI initiatives.

Chief Digital and Technology Officer Jason Gowans said the partnership “places AI at the center of Levi’s transformation, fueling innovation, elevating employee creativity, and unlocking productivity.” Microsoft Vice President Keith Mercier added that Levi “exemplifies how iconic brands can reinvent themselves with cloud and AI technologies.” The collaboration signals a deepening integration of Levi’s operations with Microsoft’s ecosystem and underscores the company’s focus on technology‑driven growth.

The AI super‑agent platform is expected to streamline internal workflows, reduce time spent on repetitive tasks, and accelerate decision‑making. By improving employee efficiency, Levi anticipates a ripple effect on customer service and supply‑chain responsiveness, aligning with its DTC‑first strategy and positioning the brand for future growth.
