Montrose Environmental Group announced on August 21, 2025, a new 5-year contract award with one of the world’s largest energy companies. This partnership focuses on restoring land, water, and wildlife across Western Canada.
The multi-year engagement spans dozens of sites, including aging gas fields, well sites, pipelines, and decommissioned sour gas facilities, some dating back to the 1950s. Montrose will provide advanced site assessment, groundwater modeling, and reclamation work to clean up and restore lands impacted by decades-old industrial activity.
This contract builds on Montrose's more than 20-year relationship with the client, previously through Matrix Solutions, as a trusted permitting, assessment, and monitoring advisor. The project supports local jobs, protects food and water supplies, and restores native habitats, aligning with the client's strategy for sustainable site closure.
