Energy Vault Holdings Inc. announced the successful completion and start of commercial operation of the 57 MW two-hour Cross Trails Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Scurry County, Texas. This project was completed ahead of schedule.
The Cross Trails BESS is the first fully executed asset under Energy Vault's 'Own & Operate' growth strategy. It will be supported by a 10-year offtake agreement with Gridmatic, providing energy and ancillary services to the ERCOT region.
This milestone demonstrates Energy Vault's ability to execute its strategic vision and maximize capital efficiency through its 'Own & Operate' model. The project leverages the company's second-generation B-VAULT™ AC system and VaultOS™ Energy Management System for optimized operations.
