Nvidia and Deutsche Telekom announced a €1 billion partnership to build an AI factory in Munich, Germany.
The factory will deploy more than 1,000 Nvidia DGX B200 systems and RTX Pro Servers, each equipped with up to 10,000 Blackwell GPUs, to provide AI inference and other services to German companies while complying with German data‑sovereignty laws.
The partnership expands Nvidia’s presence in Europe and underscores the demand for its Blackwell architecture, which powers the DGX B200 and RTX Pro Servers. Deutsche Telekom will provide the physical infrastructure and network connectivity for the facility.
The AI factory is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2026. Partners include Agile Robots, Perplexity, and SAP, which will contribute business technology platforms and applications.
The project is separate from the EU’s AI gigafactory initiative but aligns with Germany’s goal to boost its AI computing power by 50%. It also supports Deutsche Telekom’s broader AI strategy to expand its services portfolio and leverage its network for AI workloads.
Nvidia’s Data Center segment remains a key driver of revenue growth, with strong demand for Blackwell GPUs. Deutsche Telekom’s investment reflects its commitment to digital transformation and AI capabilities. The factory will also offer AI training, data processing, and edge‑computing services to German enterprises.
