NextPlat Corp’s Global Telesat Communications (GTC) announced a distribution agreement with Telit Cinterion on December 16 2025, adding advanced 5G connectivity and edge‑computing modules to its satellite‑enabled e‑commerce and IoT product line. The deal positions GTC to serve industrial and enterprise customers—manufacturing, logistics, energy and utilities—across more than 150 countries, and to capture a share of the projected $2.65 trillion global IoT market by 2030.

Telit Cinterion, a long‑standing leader in AI‑driven IoT solutions, supplies secure, scalable modules and a cloud‑based management platform that enable real‑time data processing and remote device control. By integrating these technologies, GTC can offer end‑to‑end connectivity that blends satellite and terrestrial 5G networks, giving its customers seamless coverage for mission‑critical applications such as predictive maintenance, supply‑chain visibility and smart grid management.

NextPlat’s Q3 2025 earnings report showed a 10.8% decline in consolidated revenue to $13.8 million, down from $15.4 million in Q3 2024, and a drop in gross profit margin to 19.9% from 23.2% year‑over‑year. The company’s net loss narrowed to $2.2 million from $4.2 million, driven by cost‑cutting initiatives. The new partnership is intended to offset these margin pressures by creating higher‑margin, subscription‑style IoT services that can generate recurring revenue and improve profitability in GTC’s satellite‑ecommerce segment.

The IoT market is expanding rapidly, with Grand View Research estimating a 11.4% CAGR to reach $2.65 trillion by 2030. GTC’s entry into this space through Telit Cinterion’s modules and platform is expected to accelerate its revenue growth in the industrial and enterprise sectors, where demand for connected, edge‑enabled solutions is rising. The partnership also aligns with broader industry trends toward 5G adoption and edge computing, positioning GTC to capture a larger share of high‑value IoT deployments.

CEO David Phipps said the agreement “provides a great opportunity for GTC to further participate in the rapid growth and adoption of IoT alongside one of the innovators in advanced device management and connectivity solutions.” Telit Cinterion’s Martin Krona added that the collaboration will “deliver seamless, prepaid connectivity solutions backed by Telit Cinterion’s global infrastructure and expertise,” simplifying management and reducing risk for customers. Together, the deal strengthens GTC’s competitive moat, offers a path to higher‑margin recurring revenue, and supports NextPlat’s broader strategy to diversify beyond its healthcare and retail segments.
