The goal of these partnerships is to accelerate domestic production of High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) at industry-leading cost targets.
As part of this effort, the three companies are collaborating with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) to evaluate advanced AVLIS technology. This technology is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of HALEU enrichment.
This initiative is vital for strengthening the U.S. nuclear supply chain, as HALEU is a critical fuel material for many advanced reactor designs, including Oklo's Aurora powerhouses.
