Ondas Holdings Inc. announced on December 18 that Brigadier General Patrick Huston, U.S. Army (Ret.), will serve as Chief Operating Officer while continuing his duties as General Counsel. The appointment became effective on December 16, 2025, and follows Huston’s appointment to the company’s advisory board in September 2025.
Huston brings more than 35 years of military logistics, operations, and legal experience, having led large‑scale joint exercises and served as counsel for elite U.S. Army units. His dual role is intended to strengthen operational execution and streamline legal oversight as Ondas accelerates its acquisition‑driven growth and expands into defense and critical‑infrastructure markets.
The new COO position will focus on scaling operations, integrating recent acquisitions—including the December 17 completion of the Roboteam acquisition—and deepening engagement with government and defense customers. By consolidating operational and legal leadership under one executive, Ondas aims to accelerate its “system of systems” strategy, which integrates aerial, ground, and AI capabilities into a unified autonomous platform.
Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO, said the appointment “reflects the increasing importance of integrated legal and operational leadership as Ondas continues to scale across defense, security, and government markets.” He added that Huston’s background in procurement, governance, and emerging technologies will help the company execute on its strategy and integrate new assets such as Roboteam’s ground robotic portfolio.
Ondas has been actively building a comprehensive autonomous systems platform through acquisitions and strategic investments. The company’s focus on defense contracts and private wireless solutions for critical infrastructure positions it to benefit from growing demand for autonomous capabilities and resilient supply chains in Europe and the United States.
The appointment signals Ondas’ commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance amid a complex contracting environment. By aligning operational scale with legal oversight, the company seeks to improve efficiency, reduce integration risk, and maintain momentum in its high‑growth defense and critical‑infrastructure segments.
The dual role also underscores the company’s intent to manage the increased complexity that comes with rapid expansion, ensuring that operational decisions are aligned with legal and compliance requirements in highly regulated markets.
