Onto Innovation Inc. announced the appointment of Brian Roberts as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective June 16, 2025. Mr. Roberts brings extensive financial, operational, and leadership experience from his 30-year career, including 20 years as a CFO for public companies.
Prior to joining Onto Innovation, Mr. Roberts served as the CFO of Sensata Technologies, a global semiconductor technology company with approximately $4 billion in revenue in 2024. His experience includes scaling organizations, improving margin performance, and maximizing capital allocation.
Additionally, Shirley Chen was appointed as Senior Vice President of Customer Success, also effective June 16, 2025. Ms. Chen is an industry veteran with 25 years of semiconductor experience, including 18 years in progressive sales leadership roles at companies such as KLA and Thermo-Fisher. Mark Slicer is transitioning out of his role as CFO.
