Phibro Animal Health Corporation introduced Restoris™ piezoelectric dental gel, a new treatment for periodontal disease in dogs. The gel uses piezoelectric particles that generate microcurrents to stimulate bone‑forming osteoblast cells, promoting new bone growth and reducing pocket depth.
The product is applied directly into periodontal pockets with a prefilled syringe and cured with a supplied UV light. Laboratory and clinical studies show significant reductions in periodontal pocket depth and new alveolar bone formation 30 days after treatment.
Restoris™ is available for pre‑order through Patterson Veterinary Supply and is expected to ship within 30 days. The gel requires refrigeration at 2°C‑8°C and should be protected from ambient light to prevent premature curing. Post‑procedure owners should feed soft food for 14 days and avoid hard chews.
The launch marks Phibro’s first entry into a piezoelectric dental technology platform and expands its companion‑animal dental portfolio. The company’s Q4 FY2025 results showed net sales of $378.7 million, a 38.6% increase YoY, and adjusted diluted EPS of $0.57, underscoring strong financial performance.
CEO Jack C. Bendheim said the product demonstrates Phibro’s commitment to advancing veterinary medicine and supporting the lifelong health of companion animals. The company’s strategy includes building a portfolio in the growing veterinary dental care market, where periodontal disease affects 80‑90% of dogs over three years.
The veterinary dental care market is expanding due to increased pet ownership and a greater focus on pet health. Products that offer innovative solutions like Restoris™ are expected to capture significant market share.
