The report highlights PACCAR's science-based targets (SBTi approved in 2021), which include a 35% absolute reduction of Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions from global facilities by 2030, from a 2018 baseline. Additionally, the company aims for a 25% reduction in product use Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions per vehicle kilometer by 2030, also from a 2018 baseline.
In 2023, PACCAR's Scope 1 and 2 emissions were 245 thousand tonnes of CO2e, with Scope 3 emissions at 122,676 thousand tonnes of CO2e. The company has demonstrated significant progress, reducing energy usage by 43% and Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 55% on a per revenue basis from 2013 to 2023, showcasing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
