Indústria de Materiais para Telefonia Ltda (JAP Telecom), a leading Brazilian designer, manufacturer, and supplier of connectivity solutions. JAP Telecom specializes in fiber optic closures, connectivity devices, and infrastructure accessories for the South American telecommunications market.
The acquisition, valued at approximately $5.8 million, is expected to significantly expand PLP's communications product offering and enhance its ability to serve the unique infrastructure needs of customers across South America. JAP Telecom, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Pedreira, Brazil, brings over 20 years of experience serving major telecommunications operators and internet service providers in the region.
Dennis McKenna, CEO of PLP, stated that JAP Telecom's deep market understanding and proven ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions make it a valuable addition. The proximity of JAP Telecom's facility to PLP's existing manufacturing site in Brazil is expected to provide immediate opportunities for operational alignment, supply chain efficiencies, and expanded production capacity.
