Plug Power Inc. announced a collaboration with Carreras Grupo Logístico to launch a complete green hydrogen ecosystem in Spain. This initiative aims to establish the first hydrogen-powered logistics site in Spain at Carreras Grupo Logístico's center in Masquefa, Barcelona.
The project involves replacing existing lead-acid battery-powered forklifts with hydrogen fuel cells to enhance decarbonization and operational efficiency. If successful, Plug will deliver hydrogen fuel cells, a 1 MW electrolyzer, and a hydrogen refueling station to Carreras Grupo Logístico.
This strategic partnership highlights the potential of hydrogen-powered solutions to improve energy efficiency, productivity, and sustainability while reducing operational costs in the logistics sector, expanding Plug's presence in the European market.
