Primech AI, a subsidiary of Primech Holdings Ltd., announced that its HYTRON autonomous bathroom‑cleaning robot has been approved as “supportable equipment” by the National Environment Agency (NEA) under Singapore’s Environmental Services (ES) Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG). The approval removes a key regulatory barrier that previously limited the robot’s commercial deployment and enables Primech to access up to 50 % co‑funding for qualifying purchases.

The PSG, which has been available to the environmental services sector since September 2018, recently received a S$90 million boost in June 2024. Applications for the grant remain open until March 31 2027, and the NEA’s endorsement confirms that HYTRON meets the agency’s stringent safety and performance standards. The co‑funding provision effectively halves the upfront cost for public‑sector facilities, making the robot an attractive option for hospitals, schools, and government buildings.

Primech’s FY 2025 financials show revenue of $74.3 million, a 2.5 % increase from the prior year, and a narrowed net loss of $2.2 million. The company’s gross profit margin expanded to 23.6 % as technology adoption and grant support offset wage pressures. With a contracted revenue backlog of $120.8 million as of July 24 2025, the PSG approval is expected to accelerate sales of HYTRON in Singapore and support the company’s broader regional expansion plans.

Chief Operating Officer Charles Ng said the NEA endorsement “validates market demand for our HYTRON technology and establishes a foundation for scaled deployment across Singapore’s public facilities sector.” He added that government co‑funding “significantly improves the commercial viability proposition for potential customers while expanding our addressable market.”

Prior to the NEA approval, Primech faced a regulatory hurdle that limited the robot’s deployment in public facilities because it had not yet received official endorsement for safety and environmental compliance. The new approval removes that barrier and positions Primech as a leading provider of smart cleaning solutions in the region. The company has already secured lease agreements for HYTRON units in a Singapore army camp and a major hospital, and the grant is expected to accelerate further deployments.

The NEA approval not only validates Primech’s technology but also signals to investors that the company is gaining traction in a high‑growth, government‑backed market. By unlocking co‑funding, Primech can reduce the cost barrier for public‑sector customers, potentially increasing adoption rates and driving revenue growth in the coming years.
