Perpetua Resources Corp. announced a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Company to explore antimony processing opportunities.
The MOU will evaluate the technical feasibility of processing and refining antimony from Perpetua's Stibnite Gold Project at the Sunshine Mine Complex in Idaho.
This initiative is particularly significant following China's enhanced ban on antimony exports to the United States on December 3, 2024, as the Stibnite Gold Project holds the only identified domestic antimony reserve in the U.S.
