PRA Group, Inc. announced on April 7, 2025, a leadership succession plan, appointing Martin Sjolund as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 17, 2025. Sjolund, who has served as President of PRA Group Europe since 2018, will succeed current President and CEO Vikram Atal.
Vikram Atal will retire from his role and serve as a senior advisor through December 31, 2025. Sjolund will also be appointed to the Board of Directors upon assuming the CEO role, with Atal retiring from the Board at that time.
Sjolund's tenure as President of PRA Group Europe included overseeing nearly $3 billion of successful portfolio investments and significantly improving the profitability of the European business. His experience in disciplined investment, operational efficiency, and cost management is expected to be applied to the global organization.
