Progress Software Corporation announced the opening of a new 1,562‑square‑meter Center of Excellence (CoE) in Heredia, Costa Rica, on October 1, 2025. The facility, located in Centro Corporativo El Cafetal, will serve as a strategic hub for technical support, customer success, sales, human resources, and corporate operations, and is designed to strengthen the company’s AI‑powered product portfolio in the region.
The company said the new CoE will double its workforce in Costa Rica, expanding teams across customer success, support, sales, HR, and workplace operations. By providing localized services for customers in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region, Progress aims to improve service delivery speed and deepen market penetration in a key growth area.
CEO Yogesh Gupta said the center “is part of a strategy to build regional hubs that enable us to serve our customers better,” noting Costa Rica’s skilled workforce and location as ideal for global support. VP of Sales for CALA, Francisco Larez, added that the new center “strengthens our ability to support regional growth, empowers local teams, and creates new opportunities to deliver value to our customers through deeper market understanding and localized expertise.”
A ribbon‑cutting ceremony was scheduled for the day of the announcement, underscoring the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in Latin America and supporting its broader growth strategy.
