Primo Brands Corporation announced a pioneering water replenishment and habitat restoration project along the Sacramento and Feather rivers in California. In collaboration with River Partners, a California conservation nonprofit, Primo Brands is providing significant financial investment for a nearly 1,000-acre portfolio of multi-benefit floodplain sites. This initiative aims to revitalize key portions of these major rivers.
The restoration effort is expected to generate nearly 50,000 acre-feet, or more than 16 billion gallons, of volumetric water benefits annually, equivalent to the amount of water used by approximately 500,000 Californians in a year. This project will also support wildlife habitat, improve biodiversity, enhance climate resilience, and strengthen flood safety for vulnerable communities. It represents a notable private-public conservation partnership.
This collaboration advances Primo Brands' water replenishment goal of helping to restore 100% of water used or displaced by its operations in high-priority watersheds by 2035. The project highlights the power of nature-based solutions to address California's urgent water issues and reinforces the company's commitment to responsible water stewardship and community support.
