Primo Brands Corporation today released its inaugural 2024 Sustainability Report, detailing the newly combined organization's go-forward sustainability priorities and progress. The report underscores the company's mission to Hydrate a Healthy America™ through responsible water and environmental stewardship, circular packaging, and investments in people and communities. This marks a significant milestone in the company's commitment to sustainable practices.
The report introduces a new 10-year sustainability roadmap with ambitious goals. These include aiming to replenish 100% of water used or displaced by bottling operations in high-priority watersheds by 2035, and improving water efficiency in operations by 25% by 2030, saving 348 million gallons. Additionally, Primo Brands aims for 100% of its beverage packaging to be recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2035, and an average of 50% of packaging to be made from recycled or renewable materials by the same year, eliminating 1.5 billion pounds of virgin plastic.
Primo Brands also aims for zero waste to landfill at all factories by 2035 and to set Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction goals by year-end 2025. The company highlights its achievement as the first beverage company to receive enterprise-wide WAVE: ASSESS verification from The Water Council and having five factories certified to SCS Global's Water Stewardship and Resiliency Standard. These initiatives are expected to enhance the company's environmental impact and brand reputation.
