Fatal Accident Occurs at ProPetro Fracking Operation in Texas

A fatal accident occurred at an oilfield in Texas where ProPetro Services was conducting fracking operations. Edward Rodriguez, 45, was killed, and two other workers were injured. The incident involved a pressurized line containing approximately 9,000 pounds per square inch detaching from a fracking unit. ProPetro immediately shut down fracking operations at the well site and powered down the area to allow for a safety investigation. The Reeves County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division determined that no foul play was suspected. Further investigation into the incident is pending from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
