ProPetro Holding Corp. announced the formation of a new subsidiary, ProPetro Energy Solutions, LLC, which will operate as ProPWR. This new business line will focus on providing mobile natural gas-fueled power generation equipment for various oilfield and industrial applications. The company has placed an initial order for over 110 megawatts of this power generation equipment.
The growth capital investment for this initial order is approximately $122 million, which will be funded through a combination of cash and external financing resources. Equipment deliveries are anticipated to occur between June 2025 and March 2026. ProPWR aims to address the growing power demand across the Permian Basin, including supporting ProPetro's FORCE electric-powered hydraulic fracturing fleets.
The new segment will initially target oilfield power applications but plans to expand into non-oil and gas sectors such as general industrial projects and data centers. This strategic move represents ProPetro's first organic service line startup in over a decade. The company expects to deploy these initial assets promptly under proposed or negotiated contracts.
