Qorvo announced the expansion of its SATCOM portfolio with the launch of a new K-band power amplifier (PA), the QPA1722, designed to enhance the performance and integration of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. This product addresses the evolving demands of next-generation satellite payloads.
The QPA1722 offers significant improvements, including three times the instantaneous bandwidth, a 38% smaller footprint, and 10% higher efficiency compared to competing devices. These advancements are crucial for enabling greater data throughput and more flexible payload architectures in size- and power-constrained satellite platforms.
The new K-band PA is currently sampling, with volume production anticipated for Fall 2025. This launch reinforces Qorvo's commitment to connecting the world through space and strengthens its position in the Defense & Aerospace segment, a key growth driver for the company.
