Royal Caribbean announced a comprehensive expansion of its 2027‑28 Caribbean seasonal itinerary lineup, adding 13 ships and new itineraries that will launch in April 2027. The new schedule includes departures from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Port Canaveral, Tampa, New Orleans, San Juan, Cartagena and Colón, giving travelers a broader range of options across the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
The fleet expansion features the debut of the Icon‑class vessel Legend of the Seas, scheduled to enter service in July 2026, and the amplified Allure of the Seas, whose $100 million enhancement was completed in early 2025. These additions reinforce Royal Caribbean’s strategy of modernizing its older ships while expanding its flagship lineup.
Private‑destination offerings are a key pillar of the new lineup. Perfect Day at CocoCay, which opened in May 2019, remains a flagship attraction. Two new Royal Beach Clubs—Paradise Island in Nassau, opening December 2025, and Cozumel, opening in 2026—will provide exclusive beach experiences. Perfect Day Mexico, slated to debut in late 2027, will extend the company’s private‑destination portfolio into the Mexican Caribbean.
The expansion is expected to increase capacity, broaden the company’s competitive moat, and drive higher yields. By adding new ships and itineraries, Royal Caribbean can capture a larger share of the growing Caribbean cruise market, while the focus on private destinations and fleet modernization positions the company to command premium pricing and enhance guest loyalty.
The announcement was made on December 9 2025, and the new itineraries will begin sailing in April 2027, marking a significant milestone in Royal Caribbean’s long‑term growth strategy.
