Roger Carlile, a board member since June 2024, was appointed President and CEO of Resources Connection, Inc. (RGP) effective November 3, 2025. Kate Duchene will transition to an Executive Advisor role through January 3, 2026, to support the company during the changeover.
RGP reported a net loss of $191.8 million for fiscal 2025 on revenue of $551.3 million, a decline of 12.9% year‑over‑year. In the first quarter of fiscal 2026, the company generated $120.2 million in revenue, down from $136.9 million in the prior year, but improved its gross margin to 39.5% and narrowed its net loss to $2.4 million.
The leadership change accompanies RGP’s strategic pivot from a traditional staffing model to a diversified platform focused on on‑demand talent, consulting, and outsourced services. Recent acquisitions—including Reference Point LLC for $23.2 million in July 2024 and CloudGo Pte. Ltd.—expand the firm’s advisory and technology capabilities.
Carlile, who founded Ankura Consulting Group and has led transformations at FTI Consulting, KPMG, PwC, and Deloitte, emphasized a focus on disciplined cost management, margin expansion, and leveraging technology to accelerate the company’s transformation agenda. Duchene will provide advisory support during the transition.
RGP operates in a competitive environment that includes gig platforms and AI‑driven solutions, yet it serves a significant portion of the Fortune 100. The new leadership aims to strengthen execution of the transformation plan and enhance shareholder value.
