Gibraltar Industries, Inc. announced on October 25, 2024, the appointment of James S. Metcalf as a new independent member to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Metcalf fills the board seat vacated by Craig Hindman's retirement in May 2024, restoring the board to eight members.
Mr. Metcalf brings a distinguished career in leading and transforming businesses within the construction materials, industrial manufacturing, and building products industries. His experience includes serving as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of USG, and later as CEO and Chairman of Cornerstone Building Brands.
His expertise in strategy formation, operational transformation, and M&A activities is expected to provide valuable guidance as Gibraltar continues its strategic initiatives. Mr. Metcalf will serve on the Capital Structure and Asset Management and Nominating, Governance, and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees.
