Rumble announced on February 19, 2025, that it has filed a lawsuit alongside Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) against Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, alleges that Moraes violated First Amendment free speech protections.

The lawsuit contends that Moraes ordered the suspension of U.S.-based accounts belonging to a politically outspoken user, and Rumble and TMTG seek a declaration that these orders are unenforceable in the United States. They argue that Moraes' directives undermine U.S. public policy and sovereignty.

Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski stated that allowing foreign judges to muzzle users on American digital outlets jeopardizes the country's commitment to open debate. The case has broad implications for free speech and the jurisdictional limits of foreign courts over U.S. companies.
