Ryde Group Ltd. extended its strategic partnership with Singlife, a homegrown financial services company, to implement a comprehensive Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) Protection Plan for its platform workers. This plan is scheduled to commence on January 1, 2025.

The WICA Protection Plan provides driver-partners with financial security, including lump sum compensation for permanent incapacity, current incapacity, or death related to work accidents. It also covers medical leave wages and medical expenses incurred due to work-related incidents.

Terence Zou, CEO and Founder of Ryde Group, emphasized that this partnership reflects Ryde’s commitment to driver-partners' safety and well-being through compliance with WICA regulations. This initiative reinforces Ryde's driver-first approach, complementing its 0% driver commissions and other welfare programs.
