Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA) announced on October 23, 2025 that Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer Rohit Lal will retire after eight years with the company, and that Tarak Patel has been named EVP and CIO effective immediately.
Rohit Lal joined Saia in 2017 and has led the company’s digital capabilities and IT infrastructure, driving the development of its advanced network planning tools. He will remain with Saia as an advisor until the first quarter of 2026 to ensure a smooth transition.
Tarak Patel brings extensive experience from global organizations, having served as CIO of Smurfit WestRock’s Consumer Packaging & Machinery Division and leading large‑scale technology and supply‑chain integrations at E.& J. Gallo Winery and Henkel. His appointment is expected to sustain and accelerate Saia’s digital transformation, supporting the company’s national LTL network and operational efficiency.
