StandardAero announced on March 7, 2025, its partnership with Thales to introduce StableLight™, the first 4-axis autopilot system for H125 helicopters. This autopilot is designed to significantly reduce pilot workload and enhance both mission efficiency and safety. The system is being demonstrated with in-flight presentations at Verticon 2025.
StableLight™ has already received certifications from the FAA, Transport Canada, ANAC Brazil, and AFAC Mexico. The certification team is currently focused on obtaining EASA validation, which is expected by Q3 2025, to meet strong interest from European operators and manufacturers. The autopilot is installed in an AS350 helicopter for customer demo flights.
This collaboration leverages StandardAero's engineering and certification expertise to advance clean technology solutions. The introduction of StableLight™ represents a technological breakthrough in helicopter flight control, offering hands-off, feet-off capabilities that improve operational performance and safety for H125 operators.
