StandardAero announced on September 26, 2025, that Michael L. Kaplan will rejoin the company as Chief Legal Officer, effective October 6, 2025. Mr. Kaplan will succeed Steve Sinquefield, who is retiring after more than ten years in the position and a 40-year career in aviation. Mr. Kaplan will be based at the company’s headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and report to Chairman and CEO Russell Ford.
Mr. Kaplan previously served as SVP, General Counsel, Chief Security Officer, and Secretary at StandardAero, bringing deep legal and compliance expertise across various industries, including aviation. He most recently served as Senior Counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright, advising on complex corporate, securities, and M&A matters.
This appointment is expected to provide StandardAero with experienced legal and compliance leadership as it continues to execute its strategic growth plan. Mr. Kaplan's familiarity with the company and the aviation sector is anticipated to deliver substantial value in his role.
