StandardAero announced on July 17, 2025, the expansion of its CFM International CFM56-7B services portfolio to include exchange engine solutions. This new offering provides an additional service option for Boeing 737NG customers worldwide, aiming to maximize aircraft availability. StandardAero is an OEM-authorized CFM56-7B MRO provider with full engine overhaul and test capabilities in two North American locations.

Under the exchange engine program, StandardAero provides a serviceable CFM56-7B turbofan engine with strong remaining life in exchange for an unserviceable powerplant. This responsive solution is designed for various customers, including airlines, lessors, and other asset owners. The company recently completed such an exchange for Stellar Aviation Solutions Pvt. Ltd., delivering a serviceable engine in just six weeks.

This expansion leverages StandardAero's existing expertise in offering exchange solutions on other engine platforms, applying it to the high-demand CFM56-7B program. The service enhances customer operational efficiency by minimizing aircraft downtime and providing flexible maintenance options.
