StandardAero announced on October 29, 2024, a 15-year agreement with Icelandic low-cost carrier PLAY airlines for CFM International LEAP-1A engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. This contract will support PLAY's fleet of Airbus A320neo family aircraft. StandardAero's San Antonio, Texas facility will provide Performance Restoration Shop Visit (PRSV) services.

PLAY airlines is the latest operator to select StandardAero for LEAP engine support, benefiting from the company's OEM-authorized MRO services. StandardAero became the first North American non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) holder for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B in March 2023. The San Antonio facility recently achieved LEAP-1A test cell correlation approval, adding to its existing LEAP-1B approval.

This long-term agreement underscores StandardAero's growing capabilities and market penetration for the next-generation LEAP engine platform. The company's Component Repair Services (CRS) division has industrialized over 230 component repairs for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B, further enhancing its comprehensive service offering.
