StandardAero announced on February 6, 2025, a definitive 15-year agreement with a major Middle East airline to provide aftermarket services for the CFM International LEAP turbofan engine. This long-term contract will see StandardAero's San Antonio, Texas, MRO facility deliver engine and engine component repair and overhaul services. These services include LEAP performance restoration shop visits (PRSV) and continued time engine maintenance (CTEM).
The agreement supports the airline's fleet of new-generation narrowbody aircraft, which are powered by the LEAP-1A (Airbus A320neo) and LEAP-1B (Boeing 737 MAX) engines. StandardAero is a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, having signed the first non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) in the Americas for these engine variants in March 2023. The San Antonio facility inducted its first LEAP engines in 2024, including a performance restoration shop visit in December.
This contract highlights the maturity of StandardAero's LEAP MRO capabilities and its ability to secure significant long-term business in key international markets. The company's Component Repair Services segment has industrialized over 260 LEAP component repairs, further strengthening its comprehensive support for this critical engine family.
