StandardAero Secures Brazilian Air Force Contract for PT6A-68C Engine MRO

StandardAero announced on December 16, 2024, its selection by the Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira) to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. This contract covers the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-68C engines that power the Air Force's fleet of Embraer A-29A and A-29B Super Tucano aircraft. The A-29 Super Tucano is used for training, air interception, and surveillance missions.

StandardAero will support the Brazilian Air Force's PT6A-68C engine fleet from its Center of Excellence for Turboprop Engine MRO in Summerside, PE, Canada. This facility is a Pratt & Whitney Canada authorized PT6A Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) and features a dedicated "high-G" test cell. The company celebrated its 10th anniversary of supporting the PT6A-68 family and its 500th PT6A-68 overhaul in November.

This agreement highlights StandardAero's expertise in turboprop engine MRO and expands its military customer base in Latin America. The company's long-standing relationship with the PT6A operator community, spanning 60 years, positions it as a reliable provider for critical military aviation needs.
