StandardAero announced on June 24, 2025, that its Van Nuys, California, Service Center received certification from Mexico's Agencia Federal de Aviacion Civil (AFAC). This authorization enables the facility to perform airframe maintenance, repair, and overhaul services on select large-cabin aircraft registered in Mexico. It also covers line maintenance support for Rolls-Royce Spey and Tay engines, Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306 engines, and Honeywell GTCP36-100 and -150 auxiliary power units (APUs).
The AFAC certification reinforces StandardAero's commitment to expanding its high-quality service and technical support to aircraft operators in markets beyond North America. The Van Nuys Service Center, formerly Western Jet Aviation, Inc., has operated for over 25 years, specializing in Gulfstream aircraft maintenance.
This new certification means that Mexican operators now have access to coast-to-coast aircraft support from StandardAero's U.S. business jet service centers, including Augusta, GA, and Houston, TX. The company continues to invest in its facilities and personnel to meet the evolving needs of its global customer base.
