SES AI Corporation publicly unveiled Molecular Universe MU-0, its battery material discovery software and service platform, in a live demonstration on April 29, 2025. This platform is designed to map the entire realm of possible small molecules relevant to all battery chemistries, including Li-Metal, Li-ion, and Sodium.
Molecular Universe MU-0 functions as an AI-augmented discovery suite, accelerating research and development by recommending new molecules to solve real-world problems. It features an interactive map of molecular properties, a natural language-based navigation system, and an intuitive interface.
The platform is now live on SES AI's website, offering five tiers of access to accommodate varying needs from research users to strategic Joint Development initiatives. CEO Qichao Hu noted that the platform is already being used by two OEM partners and has generated significant early interest across the battery industry.
