Somnigroup International Inc. announced the appointment of Christopher Cook as an independent director to its Board of Directors, effective September 30, 2025. This appointment increases the size of the Board from seven to eight members.
Mr. Cook brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in the retail sector. He founded Sleep Experts, a specialty mattress retail chain, and served as its CEO until its acquisition by Mattress Firm in 2014.
His experience includes serving as a strategic consultant to Mattress Firm's executive team and as a Director of Mattress Firm from 2018 until Somnigroup's acquisition in early 2025. His deep understanding of the bedding retail industry is expected to be an asset to the Board.
