Sidus Space announced that the launch of its LizzieSat™-2 satellite is targeted for December 21, 2024. The launch will take place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California as part of the Bandwagon-2 rideshare mission with SpaceX.
LizzieSat™-2, designed and manufactured at Sidus Space’s facility, features an advanced sensor suite including AIS, methane detection, and the HEO Holmes Imager. The satellite incorporates Sidus’ proprietary FeatherEdge™ AI processor for on-orbit data processing.
This launch is expected to expand Sidus’s on-orbit presence and subscriber base for its data-as-a-service solutions. It underscores the company's commitment to providing innovative, adaptable, and scalable solutions for government, defense, intelligence, and commercial sectors.
