Sidus Space and Lonestar Data Holdings entered into a Commercial Pathfinder Mission Agreement to design, integrate, and launch a high‑capacity digital data‑storage payload with edge‑processing capabilities on Sidus’s LizzieSat‑5 satellite.

Under the agreement, Sidus will develop a 1‑terabyte storage module that will operate in a 500‑550 km low‑Earth orbit, leveraging its Orlaith AI ecosystem to perform on‑orbit edge analytics and reduce data latency for terrestrial users.

The partnership is part of a broader $120 million collaboration between the two companies, which includes future lunar data‑storage spacecraft and a planned commercial service launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Lonestar has previously demonstrated its data‑storage technology in cislunar test flights in February 2024 and 2025, and the LizzieSat‑5 mission will validate long‑term data retention and near‑real‑time analytics from space.

The agreement is expected to generate a new revenue stream for Sidus, expanding its commercial data‑services portfolio and positioning it as a trusted mission enabler for high‑capacity data storage and processing needs.
