SLB announced that its joint venture, SLB Capturi, has completed commissioning and handed over its modular carbon capture plant at Twence’s waste-to-energy facility in Hengelo, Netherlands. This marks the operational launch of the plant.
The new facility has the capacity to capture up to 100,000 metric tons of CO2 per year. The captured CO2 will be utilized in applications for the horticulture and food and beverage sectors, supporting a circular economy approach.
The plant is based on SLB Capturi’s standard, modular Just Catch design, which is engineered to reduce onsite installation and outfitting work, offering a cost-efficient and easier-to-deploy solution. This achievement underscores SLB's commitment to providing affordable and effective carbon capture technologies for industrial emissions reduction.
