Emeren Group Ltd announced the closing of the second round of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) portfolio under a Development Service Agreement (DSA) with Arpinge in Italy. This round includes two standalone BESS projects in Sicily with a total capacity of 162 MW, or approximately 1.4 GWh.
With this addition, the total portfolio under the DSA framework with Arpinge now stands at 462 MW, combining the newly announced 162 MW with the initial 300 MW tranche announced in November 2024. These projects collectively complete the portfolio under the DSA.
These BESS projects are a cornerstone of Emeren's growth strategy, enabling the company to monetize its development expertise through partnerships. As of September 30, Emeren had secured DSA contracts for 28 projects totaling over 2.1 GW, with expected contracted revenue exceeding $69 million over the next 2-3 years.
