Sonoco Products Company announced the election of Scott A. Clark to its Board of Directors as an independent member. Mr. Clark, 59, brings a wealth of experience from his 28-year career at Michelin, where he served as Executive Vice President and a member of Michelin’s Group Executive Committee.
His responsibilities at Michelin included overseeing the company’s largest global business segments and supervising its largest geographic markets. Prior to this, he was Chairman and President of Michelin North America, holding various operations and marketing leadership roles in the U.S., France, and Singapore.
Sonoco's Chairman of the Board, John Haley, emphasized that Clark's significant global management, operations, and commercial consumer packaged goods leadership, including nearly a decade of experience in Europe, will provide key insights for Sonoco's growth in an important region.
