The EnviroCan paper container body is constructed from 100% recycled fiber, with 90% sourced from post-consumer resources, while the metal bottom end is made of steel. A Life Cycle Assessment commissioned by Sonoco indicated that recycling this container has a 23.5% lower global warming potential compared to landfilling steel.
This pre-qualification highlights Sonoco's efforts to develop innovative, sustainable packaging solutions that meet customer performance expectations and contribute to the circular economy.
