Sportradar Reports Notable Decline in Global Match-Fixing in 2024

Sportradar Integrity Services reported a notable decline in match-fixing across global sports in 2024, identifying 1,108 suspicious matches, a 17% decrease from 2023. This data was gathered from monitoring over 850,000 matches across 70 sports worldwide.

Significant reductions were observed in key regions, with Europe experiencing a 34% decrease in suspicious matches and Africa seeing a 36% decline. The world's most popular sport, soccer, also recorded an 18% downturn in suspicious matches detected.

Sportradar utilizes its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), which employs advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence, to monitor competitions and identify irregular betting patterns. The company also provided integrity support for major global events including the IOC 2024 Summer Olympics and UEFA EURO 2024.
