Stantec was recognized in the top 10 of Corporate Knights’ 2025 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, ranking eighth overall and first among its industry peers. This recognition was announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The ranking is based on a rigorous assessment of over 6,000 publicly traded companies with revenues exceeding US$1 billion.

This achievement is the latest in a series of sustainability milestones for the company. In October 2024, Newsweek named Stantec to its list of Canada’s Most Responsible Companies for 2025, and in June 2024, TIME included Stantec on its list of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies. These recognitions highlight the deep integration of sustainability within Stantec's culture and strategy.

Stantec's 17th annual Sustainability Report, released in 2024, indicated that $3.9 billion, or 61%, of its 2023 gross revenue was generated from work supporting core United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The company also committed to the MEP 2040 Challenge, an initiative to significantly reduce carbon emissions from mechanical, electrical, and plumbing building systems by 2040.
