Viper Energy, Inc., a subsidiary of Diamondback Energy, Inc., announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Sitio Royalties Corp. This all-equity transaction, valued at approximately $4.1 billion including Sitio's net debt, officially integrates Sitio into Viper Energy's operations.
The closing of the merger establishes a larger, combined entity in the mineral and royalty sector, particularly strengthening its footprint in the Permian Basin. This strategic move is expected to enhance the scale and operational efficiencies of the merged business.
Following the acquisition, Viper Energy also issued revised third-quarter 2025 production guidance, reflecting the impact of the Sitio assets. The updated guidance projects average oil production of 54,500 – 57,500 barrels per day for the combined company.
