Silvercorp Metals Inc. announced the completion and full operation of Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) No. 3 and a new 1,500 tonne per day (tpd) flotation production line at its Ying Mining District in China. Both facilities were completed in early December 2024, on time and under budget, following a one-month commissioning period.

The addition of the new flotation production line significantly increases the milling capacity at Ying to over 1.3 million tonnes per year. This expansion enables higher throughput and the processing of increased mining capacity at Ying, including future production from the nearby Kuanping mine.

Phase 1 of TSF No. 3, constructed for approximately US$28 million, under its original budget of $38 million, provides a storage capacity of approximately 9.92 million cubic meters. This capacity is sufficient to support Ying's expanded operating rate of 1.3 million tonnes of ore per year for over 12 years, ensuring long-term operational stability.
