Synaptics Incorporated announced on March 5, 2025, that it will showcase its latest innovations in Edge AI and wireless connectivity at Embedded World 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany, from March 11-13. The company plans to unveil new families of microcontroller units (MCUs) and wireless systems-on-chips (SoCs).
These new products are designed for a wide range of ultra-low-power (ULP) Internet of Things (IoT) devices, featuring contextually-aware artificial intelligence (AI) and ultra-reliable connectivity. The goal is to enable cognitive IoT applications and intuitive user experiences at a low system cost.
Demonstrations at the event will include an automotive dashboard display with local dimming for high contrast and Knob-on-Display capability, based on the company’s new SB7900 SmartBridge™ advanced automotive display processor. This highlights Synaptics' expansion into new IoT applications and the automotive sector.
