Sypris Solutions, Inc. reported a net loss of $2.1 million, or $0.09 per share, for the second quarter of 2025, compared to breakeven net income in the prior-year period. Revenue for the quarter decreased to $31.4 million from $35.5 million in the second quarter of 2024. For the first half of 2025, the company reported a net loss of $3.0 million on revenue of $60.9 million.

Sypris Technologies' revenue was $14.1 million, down from $17.8 million, primarily due to the cyclical decline in the commercial vehicle market, tariff uncertainty, and a $1.6 million revenue decrease from the Mexico sub-maquiladora agreement. Its gross profit was $2.1 million, or 15.2% of revenue, negatively impacted by volume decreases but partially offset by favorable foreign currency exchange rates.

Sypris Electronics' revenue was $17.3 million, a slight decrease from $17.7 million, attributed to changes in customer delivery schedules and material availability issues. The segment's gross profit significantly dropped to $0.4 million, or 2.5% of revenue, from $2.9 million, or 16.5% of revenue, in Q2 2024. Material availability issues caused delayed deliveries, limited production ramp-up, and led to out-of-sequence manufacturing, increasing costs and decreasing operational efficiency. Despite these challenges, Sypris Electronics reported a strong 110% increase in orders, totaling $47 million.
