Tamboran Resources Corp announced on 2025‑10‑16 that it has completed its largest drilling program in the Beetaloo Basin, marking a significant operational milestone for the company. The program involved batch drilling of three wells at the Shenandoah South 2 well pad, a key component of the company’s strategy to supply gas to the Northern Territory network under a long‑term Gas Sales Agreement with the NT government, with first gas sales slated for mid‑2026. The three wells were drilled efficiently, achieving an average drilling time of less than 27 days from spud to total depth and a spud‑to‑cementing time within the approved field engineering (AFE) limit of 35 days. Tamboran highlighted that the use of modern U.S. drilling technologies accelerated learning curves and produced record performance throughout the campaign, with all wells now cased and suspended. Future stimulation plans are outlined: the SS‑4H well will be stimulated in the fourth quarter of 2025, while the remaining two wells, along with a reinforced SS‑3H well, are scheduled for stimulation in the first half of 2026. The company has welcomed back the Liberty Energy team to conduct a 60‑stage stimulation program in the SS‑4H well and anticipates delivering an IP30 flow test from its first two‑mile (10,000‑foot) lateral well in the coming months. This completion brings Tamboran closer to commercial production, reinforcing its position as the largest acreage holder and operator in the Beetaloo Basin. The operational efficiency demonstrated in this drilling program supports the company’s broader three‑phase business plan, including pipeline development and potential LNG export facilities, and underscores its commitment to delivering low‑carbon natural gas to Australian and Asian markets.
