Tetra Tech, Inc. announced that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded the company a $37.5 million, single-award contract. This 5-year contract aims to increase access to safe and reliable water, sanitation, and solid waste management services for urban communities in Southern Africa.

The program, known as USAID Resilient Cities Limpopo, will see Tetra Tech partner with local governments and regional stakeholders. The objective is to develop data-driven, climate-resilient approaches to enhance public service delivery in the Limpopo River basin, an area experiencing rapid population growth and increasing climate variability.

Tetra Tech's experts will also leverage private sector investment to strengthen waste management operations and promote sustainable recycling practices. Chairman and CEO Dan Batrack highlighted the company's more than 40 years of partnership with USAID in improving water supplies in developing countries.
